Ribbit! is a "flip and see" book. As you turn each flap you see one part of each sentence. The top flip is always the name of the frog and uses alliteration. The middle section always begins with the word "with" and adds an adjective. The last section is always the verb and rhymes with the middle.
Example: Farmer Frog
with shiny feet

We use this book to talk about what a complete sentence is and how to write "juicy" sentences that include a noun, adjective, and adverb, and verb. I've also modified it towrite sentences with a noun and verb and we only cut two flaps.
Find any coloring sheets. Print three copies of each character. Pre-cut the book into three sections. Have students write three complete sentences practicing alliteraction, adjective and verbs. If they can make the sentences rhyme give them additional credit!
