For Just One Day

 For Just One Day was used in my classroom to illustrate a variety of skills such as: rhyming, predicting, schema, inferring, and determining importance.  We talked about the fact that authors often give clues to make their reader infer.  We then practiced writing clues in the format of this book to see if we could get our readers to infer.  Below is a picture of one student's book.
